Saturday, December 16th is National Wreaths Across America Day, when citizens across the country gather at 1,200 participating locations to remember our fallen, honor those who serve, and teach younger generations the value of freedom. All local ceremonies will take place on December 16 at noon, so that all wreath-laying ceremonies occur simultaneously across the nation. Ceremonies are open to veterans and their families to attend. Remembrance wreaths will be placed on the headstones of our hometown heroes, and they will be recognized for their service to our nation. Locations: Pennsylvania Soldiers' & Sailors' Home (560 E 3rd St, Erie, PA) The ceremony to honor the approximately 1,300 veterans laid to rest in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery on the grounds will take place in the Personal Care Dining Hall (3-story brick building facing cul-de-sac).
