Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony

The Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will take place Saturday, November 5. The parade will kick off at 9:30am at the Veterans Stadium (26th & State Street in Erie) marching south on State Street ending at the Erie VAMC. The ceremony begins at 11am at Jefferson School located directly across from the Erie VAMC on 38th Street. All Veterans and community members are invited to attend the Veterans Day parade & Ceremony to celebrate our Veterans!

How to get involved: 

1.       Erie VAMC invites all community agencies and organizations to march in the Veterans Day Parade.  You don’t have to be a Veteran or Veteran-related organization to sign up to march.  Call Ken Sawdey at 814-866-9565 to sign up today. 

2.       Show your support from the side-lines!  Erie VAMC invites all community members to line State Street between the Veterans Stadium and 38th Street to cheer on local Veteran.  Make signs, wave flags, and show your support!  Join us in making this the biggest Veterans Day celebration yet!

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
