POW/MIA 24-Hour Vigil and Ride for Freedom

September 15 to 16, Veterans of Foreign War, Inc Post #52 and the Welcome Home Association are sponsoring a POW/MIA 24-Hour Vigil to honor all POW/MIA's from ALL wars. On Friday, September 15, a candle lighting ceremony will begin at 8:00 pm at the Crawford County Veterans' Memorial, located in Diamond Park, Meadville, PA. The candle lihgting ceremony will be conducted for those still listed as POW/MIA.

The Ride for Freedom will occur on Saturday, September 16. Registration will start at noon at Walt's Tavern in Conneaut Lake (Hwy 618) with departure at 3:00 pm sharp. The route will be Rt. 618 to Rt. 322 to Park Avenue, right onto Chestnut Street and into Diamond Park, Meadville, coming in on the Memorial Side. This will be a "slow," uninterrupted ride with polkice escort to honor and pay tribute to our POW/MIA's from all wars. Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
