If you are a veteran who is a new parent or parent-to-be, the Erie VAMC wants to celebrate with you and your significant other at our Erie VAMC Baby Shower event - open for any new parents-to-be and/or parents who have had a baby in 2018.  This event is coming up Tuesday, May 8from 2pm-3:30 pm in the Erie VAMC 2nd Floor Conference Rooms. RSVPs are required. Call their Maternity Care Coordinator at (814) 860-2146 or our Women Veterans Program Manager at (814) 860-2907 to RSVP today. 

On Monday, April 9th from 2 pm to 3 pm, veterans, their families, and community members are invited to attend the Erie VA Medical Center Veteran Town Hall & Tricare Seminar. You can meet with Erie VAMC leadership and learn about VA programs, services, and projects. A TRICARE representative will also be on-site to answer questions and provide important updates on TRICARE coverage. The event will be held in the Erie VAMC's 2nd Floor Conference Rooms. 

The 7th Annual Nationwide Run As One event will be held on April 7th, at 10 am, at Asbury Barn Recreation Center. This event is in honor of Marine Clay Hunt, who took his life after a struggle with PTSD. Team RWB, Team Rubicon, and the Mission Continues gather together to establish and renew bonds with our brothers and sisters in our partner organizations and communities, demonstrating to the world our collective culture of inclusivity and camaraderie. On Thursday, March 29 beginning at 11 am, the Erie Vietnam Veterans of America chapter will be hosting a special Vietnam Veterans Ceremony to honor and recognize Vietnam Veterans. The event will take place at the Erie County Vietnam Veterans Memorial, located across from Veterans Stadium on State and 26th Streets. Erie VAMC Director John Gennaro will be one of the guest speakers at the event.

On Thursday, March 29 from 11 am to noon, Erie VAMC invites Women Veterans to attend a Nutrition & Healthy Living Focus Group. Located in the Patient Education Room on the 1st Floor, this Women's only focus group will focus on the question: What services would you like to see in terms of nutrition and healthy living? A bingo will be held on Saturday, March 24 from 2-4 pm at Edinboro University in Butterfield, Room 134. The GPS location is 310 Scotland Rd, Edinboro, PA 16444. This event is free to veterans.

On March 26, 2018, U.S. Senator Toomey, State Senator Hutchinson, State Rep. James, and the Venango County Veterans Affairs Office will be honoring Vietnam-Era veterans with a pinning ceremony at 10 am at VFW Post 415 in Franklin, PA. Eligible veterans are urged to contact Senator Hutchinson's office at (814) 677-6345 or jdanzer@pasen.gov.

The NWPA Veterans Entrepreneurship Program is a free online training program to educate and accelerate the entrepreneurial success of Veterans. An information session will be held on the Pets for Vets program with the Erie ANNA Shelter on March 17, 2018, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Erie Vet Center, located at 240 W. 11th St, Erie, PA.
