Military Veterans with Chronic Pain Talk

The Tri-State Pain Institute will be hosting a talk at the Ambassador Banquet & Conference Center (7792 Peach St, Erie, PA) on August 1st from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The featured speaker will be Justin Minyard, US Army Master Sergeant (Retired), a Chronic Pain Patient. Exhibitor tables, a meet & greet with special guests military veterans, and a pain discussion with pain experts.

Justin Minyard, US Army Master Sergeant (Retired) was a 9/11 first responder, was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor, is a Purple Heart recipient, and was an Arabic Interrogator, Navy Special Operations Warfare command. He will share his story as well as discussing his experiences with chronic pain.

Attendees can also learn about treatment and VA Choice insurance options from fellow veterans Dr. Joseph Thomas, Tri-State Pain Institute Director and Founder, and Dr. Paul Diefenbach, Neurosurgeon at the Tri-State Pain Institute.

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
