Gannon’s Annual Salute to Veterans

Gannon University will hold its Annual Salute to Veterans on Wednesday, November 9th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the Yehl Alumni Ballroom of the Waldron Campus Center. Memorial ceremony events include a speech by U.S. Army Retired Brigadier General Mark Bellini, a POW/MIA Fallen Warriors Ceremony, a wreath dedication, a twenty-one gun salute, and a reception. 

U.S. Army Retired Brigadier General Mark Bellini served in the military for almost 32 years, during which he served in a variety of Command and Staff positions. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Edinboro University and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Regular Army in 1979 through the Gannon University Army ROTC program. He, since, earned three master's degrees and an array of military awards and decorations.

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
