The Veterans Portal in Northwestern, PA is the best resource for area veterans

Who is a Veteran? for the purposes of the Veterans Portal of Northwest PA, the term “veteran” refers to an individual who has served in the United States Armed Forces, including a reserve component and National Guard, regardless of age, gender, or combat experience.

In 2012-13, through the anti-poverty initiative Erie Together, a group of veterans and service providers came together to discuss the concerns faced by the over 22,000 veterans in Erie County.

The purpose was to focus on important issues such as healthcare, education, jobs, and community integration, with the goal of improving the lives of the men and women who served our great country.

One of the clear difficulties identified was the need for a single-point resource for all veterans, family members, and service providers in the region.

Simply put: it should be easier for veterans to get information about the resources they need, and for service providers to share the information about the services they provide.

The Veterans Portal of Northwestern PA is that solution. Contact us today to become a Veteran Resource or explore our website to find the right resources to fit your needs.
